مختبر الأحياء الدقيقة (Microbiology) هو القسم المسؤول عن الكشف عن الكائنات الدقيقة المسببة للأمراض — بكتيريا، فطريات، وطفيليات — من خلال الزراعة، التعريف، واختبارات الحساسية للمضادات الحيوية. يُعد من أهم أقسام المختبر السريري لدوره المباشر في توجيه القرار العلاجي ومكافحة العدوى.The microbiology laboratory is responsible for detecting disease-causing micro-organisms — bacteria, fungi, and parasites — through culture, identification, and antibiotic susceptibility testing. It is one of the most important sections of the clinical lab because of its direct role in guiding treatment decisions and infection control.
